Cinnamon Twists
I made these tonight. They were quite a good little experiment!
Ingredients:
1 roll refridgerated cresent rolls
Cinnamon
Sugar
Brown sugar
Icing:
Powdered sugar
Cream cheese (about 1/5 of package)
Cinnamon
Sugar
Vanilla flavoring
Directions: Unroll cresent rolls into one rectangular square. Pinch creases together so that it is one big piece. Mix about 1/4 cup of sugar, a few teaspoons of cinnamon and a teaspoon or two brown sugar. Sprinkle over top of cresent rolls and pat down into dough. Cut cresent rolls into long strips. Fold each strip in half and twist. Place on greased cookie sheet. Bake according to directions on cresent roll package. I cooked mine for 13 minutes at 375.
To make icing: Soften cream cheese in microwave. Mix in several tablespoons of powdered sugar, a tablespoon or so cinnamon, a splash vanilla flavoring, and a little bit of plain sugar. Mix thoroughly and glaze twists when they come out of oven.
